Emma Bridgewater Rise & Shine Set of 2 Half Pint Mugs

The set of two Rise & Shine Half Pint Mugs are part of the Hen & Toast collection by Emma Bridgewater and Matthew Rice. They are made in the classic ‘tankard-style’ shape inspired by the mugs made in the 19^th century Staffordshire potteries.

Oozing with country charm, each mug is decorated with gorgeous illustrations of farmyard hens. The hens in various colours are perched in rows and clucking to the dawn chorus, complete with a few eggs at their feet. The design is set against the cream earthen-ware background creating a striking look. The interior rim is adorned with phrases such as ‘Shine Bright’ and ‘New Day’ written in the classic Black Toast font.

Matthew Rice has designed a chicken coop shaped gift box for the set of mugs, with a pitched roof and hand drawn featuring coloured wooden panels and tiles.

A lovely gift for anyone who loves hens or the farmyard, this lovely set of 2 mugs will be enjoyed by anyone who enjoys good design and likes to collect ceramic homeware. It makes a perfect housewarming, or birthday gift.

Hen & Toast Range

Combining the traditional and iconic Black Toast lettering with the farmyard illustrations of the Hen range, the Hen & Toast collection from Emma Bridgewater creates a beautifully rustic theme when matched with a number of pieces across the homeware brand. With cockerels posed with a firm stature and hens hatching a field of delightful colour across the austere cream pieces, this range brings true farm house living into your home in a classic way.

Emma Bridgewater’s English earthenware is made by hand in her factory in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in England. The spongeware patterns are decorated entirely by hand.

Not suitable for Microwave use. Not Oven safe.

Dishwasher safe, however it is recommended to wash in lower temperature with liquid detergent to maintain appearance.
