William Morris Pimpernel Breakfast Mug

Made from fine china, this mug has a capacity of 400ml and is decorated with the iconic pimpernel pattern, designed by William Morris in 1876 for use in his own home. This beautiful floral pattern features entwined pale-green foliage and cream pimpernel plants with little yellow flowers and dainty grey leaves. A gold trim surrounds the top of the mug to give it a luxurious feel. The design is set against a deep purple background which contrasts brilliantly with the white interior of the mug. The pattern extends onto the handle, which is shaped with a comfortable curve, making it easy to carry.

The mug is presented in a matching illustrated box, making it the perfect gift. This beautiful William Morris mug would make a wonderful housewarming, thank you or birthday present for any loved one, be it friend or family and will add a touch of floral charm to any kitchen.

About the William Morris range

William Morris, artist, philosopher, poet and political theorist, was one of the most outstanding influential designers of the Arts and Crafts movement. Through his company, Morris and Co he produced some of the most fashionable and exciting textiles and wallpapers of the late 19th century. He found his inspiration in nature and Medieval art, but also employed the very characteristic Victorian taste for heavily detailed patterns and deep, sometimes earthy colours. Because of their artistry and timeless and classic, natural feel, Morris's designs have been consistently popular since his death in 1896.
