The illustration on this tray depicts the iconic pimpernel pattern, designed by William Morris in 1876 for use in his own home. This beautiful floral pattern features entwined pale-green foliage and cream pimpernel plants with little yellow flowers and dainty grey leaves, set against a black background.

This gorgeous tray would make a wonderful housewarming or birthday gift for any loved one, be it friend or family and will add a touch of floral charm to any kitchen. Pair with matching coasters and mugs from the same range to make an extra special gift for any friend or loved one.

About the William Morris range

William Morris, artist, philosopher, poet and political theorist, was one of the most outstanding influential designers of the Arts and Crafts movement. Through his company, Morris and Co he produced some of the most fashionable and exciting textiles and wallpapers of the late 19th century. He found his inspiration in nature and Medieval art, but also employed the very characteristic Victorian taste for heavily detailed patterns and deep, sometimes earthy colours. Because of their artistry and timeless and classic, natural feel, Morris's designs have been consistently popular since his death in 1896.
