Black Toast Writing 4 Mug Teapot Boxed

What better way to pour your tea into your Black Toast mugs than with this teapot from the Black Toast range by Emma Bridgewater! At least four cups may be poured from this elegant teapot, which has a capacity of almost 2½ pints. It is made in a classic teapot shape, with a curving body and a good-sized handle.

The pot is decorated all over in Matthew Rice’s hand-drawn lettering, with the words:

“CEYLON & LAPSANG SOUCHONG

RUSSIAN CARAVAN

DARJEELING

MINT & GINGER

ORANGE PEKOE & EARL GREY & CAMOMILE TEA”

The lid has the words “ENGLISH BREAKFAST” written on it.

This delightful teapot comes boxed, so it may be given as a gift. Any collector of Black Toast pottery will treasure it, but it also stands alone as an individual design. The all over decoration of writing matches it perfectly with the Writing Mug.

Black Toast Range

Focusing on typography and orderly patterns created from lines of text, Black Toast is a simple but undeniably stylish range. The letters themselves are designed by Emma Bridgewater’s husband, Matthew Rice, who has had an interest in lettering since his school days. Combined with the black and light cream colour scheme, this range is both sophisticated and elegant. It works wonderfully with the Marmalade range from Emma Bridgewater.

Not suitable for Microwave use. Not Oven safe.

Dishwasher safe, however it is recommended to wash in lower temperature with liquid detergent to maintain appearance.

Emma Bridgewater’s English earthenware is made by hand in her factory in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in England.
