Wrendale ‘Duck The Halls’ Duck Fine Bone China Christmas Mug

This beautiful fine china mug from Royal Worcester is part of the Portmeirion Wrendale Collection. This cheerful brace of ducks is waddling along dressed in adorable woolly hats. Some of them are wearing blue or red scarves and they peer inquisitively at the beholder! They are painted in light browns and shades of white and detailed with pale highlights.

Set against the pure white of the fine bone china, the image is full of intricate details and beautiful tones of brown and cream. On the reverse is the same image of the six ducks, and on the inner rim are the words ‘Duck The Halls.’ Holly leaves and berries are on either side of this text and the handle, lending a Christmassy charm to the piece.

With a capacity of 310ml, this mug is perfect for that morning cup of coffee or afternoon taste of tea, and it is both dishwasher and microwave safe, making it perfect for everyday use! Wrendale Designs

This delightful range of stationery and accessories is inspired by the animal characters seen in the British countryside, farmyard and home, as well as more exotic creatures. Featuring original artwork produced by Hannah Dale, each image is delicately painted with soft brushwork, subtle colours and paint spatters. Hannah is an ex-stockbroker turned farmer’s wife who, inspired by her rural married life, embraced her artistic roots and began painting the animals in the landscape around her. Since then Wrendale Designs has expanded into a family business, producing a wide range of greetings cards, ceramic, melamine and textile items, all featuring artwork touched with the magic of Hannah’s watercolour brush.
